I had agonised over getting a 20/22″ lcd monitor.

Some benefits

- more desk space

- easier on my eyesight

- less strain on my eyes when I have to cram lots of stuff on screen

- multi-monitor fun giving me lots of real-estate desktop space.

So anyway we went to the various asian computer shops…all of them had dodgy named Cicom etc. brands or 19″ only.  Pretty poor.

PC world had the ViewSonic VA2216W in stock at £160 - tempting.

We went next door to Staples and found it on offer at £140 but not in stock….PC World did a price match so after a bit of wrangling and explaining ‘I would go to the other Staples store and pick it up for £140′, PC world made it £140 + 10% of the difference = £138.  Nice price for a 22″ lcd.

- bought a Nintendo WII.  It rocks.  Who cares about HD resolution?  I got a PC for that!

- edited the latest holiday video at long last.  Made me cry.  Life is so dull here.

- lost some weight by walking lots and eating more…er, I mean, er more.  Bizarre. 

It’s been a scarey week with boy racers, car crashes (I saw) and stupid people going into roundabouts the wrong way.

Is the driving world so stupid?

I mean, if you can get a licence, it’s almost as dangerous as a gun.  And it does worry me some of the chavs that drive etc. who I saw in one crash but also just old fuds who are shocking drivers.

I will have to extremely aware during the crazy driving season….

- I like speed (not the powdered stuff)

- I hate getting up, but when I do I can’t go back to sleep

- Blondes are best

- I’m a mellow guy  exterior with a militant interior.

- spicey is the best food

- my shit smells (like worse than a normal persons)

- I could be a professional eating champion

Looks like Glasgow weegies knock took on the terrorist threat to the world and won.

 John Smeaton is officially Scotlands Hero.  A true classic working class bam baggage handler who probably through the hard training of living in Glasgow, could take on the whole of Al Qeuada with nothing more than his underwear.
